We are an AKC licensed club advocating responsible pet ownership by increasing public awareness of the value of living with well trained dogs.
We hold weekly classes for obedience, conformation, Rally and Canine Good Citizen (CGC) training and regularly hold AKC sanctioned obedience events to introduce dog lovers to the many fun and interesting activities available to them.

Beginner Classes: Start every 1st Thursday of the month (Except in November and December) and continue weekly. Attendance to each week's class is required since a new behavior is taught at each session. Your dog DOES NOT accompany you to the first class.
The Obedience Club of San Diego County, Inc. provides a training program intended to provide training to owners in order to train good pets in the home and community. Attendance to each class is required as a new behavior is taught each week. The first meeting is for Orientation and no dogs are to be brought. A lawn chair is suggested as this meeting is held in the San Diego Zoo parking lot, the location of our training class.
Training begins at 7:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. Dogs must be at least six months old to start Obedience training. Conformation classes require dogs be at least four months old. All dogs must have their current shots.

Location: San Diego Zoo parking lot.
Equipment Required: You, your dog(Not for Orientation Class), a chain or nylon slip collar & a 6 foot leather or nylon leash.
Please wear low heeled shoes, NO sandals. Bring a plastic bag in case cleanup becomes necessary for your dog.
Dogs must be on leash at all times
